Free Online Ping Tool
Instantly measure the Round Trip Time (RTT) between our server and any website or IP address. Ping is the fundamental tool for diagnosing network connectivity and server availability. Our tool supports multi-location checks from key global hubs.
Understanding Ping Results
- Latency: Measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower is better. Ideally under 100ms for web browsing and under 30ms for gaming.
- Packet Loss: Should be 0%. Any loss indicates network congestion, faulty hardware, or firewall filtering.
- TTL (Time To Live): Indicates how many hops the packet can take before being discarded. Helps estimate the OS of the remote server.
Why is my Ping High?
High ping can be caused by physical distance (e.g., accessing a US server from Asia), network congestion, poor Wi-Fi signal, or background downloads. Use our tool to isolate if the issue is with your local network or the remote server.
